When a bearing operates under a radial load, there is a distinction between the loaded zone and the non-loaded zone. If the bearing has a certain amount of radial clearance, the rolling elements in the non-loaded zone may not be fully supported. In such cases, the centrifugal force alone might cause the rolling elements to come into contact with the inner race or cage. This phenomenon typically occurs at low speeds when the centrifugal force is less than the weight of the rolling elements. As a result, the rolling elements can fall out of place, causing vibration and noise. This behavior has several characteristics: Recommend to friends | Comments | Close window This article is linked to: http:// Please cite China Bearing Network: http:// Previous: SKF Bearing Cage | Next: Why Is the Bearing Cage Damaged?
