According to Article 15, Section (2) of Chapter 15 in the "Personal Safety Tools for Compulsory Safety, On-site Operations, Safety Operation Regulations, and Safety Accident Prevention and Treatment Practices of the Electric Power Industry in 2006," it states that safety helmets used by different units are categorized into four main colors: red, orange, white, and blue. Management personnel wear red helmets, operation duty staff wear orange, external inspectors and visitors wear white, while on-site workers such as maintenance, testing, and construction personnel wear blue helmets. Safety helmets must be worn at all production sites, with exceptions made for lounges, control rooms, and study areas. In power plants, helmets are commonly available in multiple colors, including red, yellow, blue, orange, and white. For easier management, departments often use a single color for their employees. There is a well-known saying: "Blue caps are for work, yellow caps are for observation, and red caps have the final say." The importance of safety helmets cannot be overstated, especially for maintenance and operational staff, as they directly impact the safety of frontline workers. This is not an overstatement—particularly for maintenance personnel, who often work in complex and potentially hazardous environments. Therefore, the design of the helmet should not only be structurally sound, comfortable, and durable but also feature bright, eye-catching colors. This is especially crucial for maintenance teams, who frequently work in elevated or dimly lit conditions. Vibrant colors can serve as a visual reminder for both the workers themselves and those nearby, helping prevent accidents caused by falling objects or unsafe actions. It also helps ensure that others are aware of potential hazards or violations happening on site. In this context, red is considered the most suitable color for maintenance personnel, as it enhances visibility and signals caution effectively. China Labor Insurance Network
