The total demand for cement in Vietnam is expected to be 60 million tons in 2012

According to recent news from the executive office of the Vietnam Cement Corporation, exports have become the main market for Vietnam cement since last year, affected by the recession in the real estate market.

This year, Vietnam’s total cement demand is expected to remain around 60 million tons, of which 53 million tons will be used for domestic consumption and the rest will be exported. China is the largest cement importer, followed by India. Demand for cement in countries in the Asia Pacific region and Africa is also growing.
