The owner's need is to create an open-plan home in the inner city that is both modern and not over-maintained.

JCB's design meets the requirements of the owner while providing a variety of light, volume and space forms to enhance the daily living experience of the residents. The project explores the relationship between public and private spaces and creates new forms of housing for the local community. The building's materials use recycled red bricks, slabs and wood. The design of the façade is both eye-catching and interacts well with the street environment.

The garage door made of perforated panels and the windows above the building create an integrated, seamless façade that allows the user to control the ventilation, lighting and landscape of the room by turning it on or off, while at the same time ensuring privacy. The panel's translucency and operability form a good interaction with the street. At night, the light from the interior makes the facade more vibrant, while creating a fun and vibrant atmosphere for the front yard.

The design of JCB allows this home to participate in the city. Unlike its neighbors, there is no railing in front of the house but an open and relaxed state. A linear plank pavement extends from the east sidewalk to the entrance of the house.

Ceramic Mosaic

Ceramic mosaic is a relatively old and traditional mosaic. Ceramic mosaic, among other dazzling and generous tiles, its delicate and exquisite posture, retro and elegant style is even more conspicuous. The surface of some ceramic mosaics is ground and irregularly formed, creating the appearance of age erosion to create a sense of history and naturalness. This kind of mosaic not only retains the simplicity and weight of pottery, but also has the delicate and moisturizing effect of porcelain. The highlight lies in its profound cultural connotation. Designers generally like to design ceramic mosaics as the waistline of the tile wall on the bathroom theme wall, because today's ceramic mosaics have more rich colors, and they are collaged with various colors to form patterns, which can be painted on the wall. , Spread on the ground can play a decorative role in the carpet. Most of the ceramic mosaics give people the feeling of being noble and elegant, with excellent antique effect, suitable for classical style bathrooms. Ceramic mosaic has different quality requirements for products used in different occasions, and the wear resistance index of the floor should be higher than that of the wall mosaic.
