Back passivation technology is currently a hot topic in the field of photovoltaic frontier technology. It is mainly to grow a layer of aluminum oxide film on the back surface of the battery by atomic layer deposition, and the back surface is well-blunted by the negative charge-characteristic characteristics of the aluminum oxide film. At the same time, the laminated film grown on the back surface is positioned and opened by a laser groove method, so that the carrier can be effectively collected after metallization. This technology product has high photoelectric conversion efficiency, high open circuit voltage, and better low-light response, and it is a strategic product that seizes the mainstream market.

According to reports, the project was approved by Jinneng Group in early 2015 and an independent development model was adopted. The technical team independently designed, developed and trial-produced the product through independent research and experiments, combined with industrial technological development, and achieved the goal. After six months of thorough investigation, the technical route was determined and equipment selection and bidding were completed in September.

Due to the late arrival of the additional atom deposition equipment and laser slotting equipment, the R&D team made every effort to overcome the problem of short debugging time, deployed in advance, and stepped up installation and commissioning. After nearly a month and night of hard work, the technical team overcame a series of difficulties, broke through innovation, and proposed a series of solutions such as perfect matching of single crystal polishing and polycrystalline etching without changing the equipment, and found a set of solutions. Original single crystal back passivation technology.

At present, the P-type single crystal back-passivation pilot project is still under intensive stress. Through further optimization and improvement, the battery efficiency still has a certain potential for improvement.
