5. **Corrosion and Surface Damage:**
Rust, black skin, and pitting are signs of poor storage conditions, often due to moisture and dirt. Corrosion can lead to early wear, fatigue, and even render the bearing unusable.
Proper installation ensures the bearing seat allows the rolling elements to move freely, keeping them correctly positioned between the inner and outer raceways. If installed incorrectly, the bearing may not function properly, and the mating surfaces could suffer severe wear. Since the difference between the inner and outer rings is subtle, care must be taken to avoid mistakes. Additionally, there should be a 0.5mm clearance between the bearing and the housing hole to allow for minor manufacturing tolerances and ensure smooth operation.
