Chip Advanced Technology introduces the CAT6610, a low-cost, small-package, single-channel HDMI 1.2a transmitter that supports HDCP 1.1 and DVI 1.0. The chip is packaged in a QFN 48 PIN package.
In the audio and video interface output section, the CAT6610 supports CCIR656 8-bit and up to 1080i resolution, and provides a 192kHz sampling frequency and 24-bit two-channel I2S digital audio interface output. The CAT6610 also provides S/PDIF sequence output up to 192kHz sampling frequency.
The CAT6610 integrates HDCP keys, so chip users do not need to purchase HDCP keys separately. In response to the new generation of consumer electronics, the CAT6610 can be used in digital cameras, digital photo frames, digital video cameras (HD-DV), digital set-top boxes (STB) and other electronic products that require smaller sizes.
