The rational use of vaccines is the key to the success or failure of immunization. Before vaccination, carefully read the bottle label and instructions for use, and do not arbitrarily change it; pig farmers should use the vaccine according to the following methods.
1. Antiviral drugs and interferon should not be used within 4 days before and after the injection of the viral live vaccine. The two viral live vaccines should not be vaccinated at the same time, and should be separated by 7 to 10 days to avoid mutual interference.
2. Viral live vaccine and inactivated vaccine can be used at the same time, respectively, intramuscular injection, do not use antibiotics for 7 days before and after injection of live vaccine, two kinds of bacterial live vaccine can be used at the same time, respectively, intramuscular injection.
3. Antibiotics generally have no effect on bacterial inactivated vaccines, and can be used simultaneously, intramuscularly.
4. Inoculation of attenuated live vaccines in pigs that are in incubation may trigger an outbreak and even cause death in pigs.
5. Pregnant sows should not be vaccinated as attenuated live vaccines, especially viral live vaccines, to avoid transmission through the placenta, causing piglets to be poisoned.
6. Do not vaccinate pigs with high fever, old and weak, and sick pigs.
7. After the vaccine is diluted, the titer will continue to decrease. The temperature will be 4 hours below 15 °C, 2 hours at 15 to 25 °C, and 1 hour at 25 °C. Therefore, the diluted vaccine should be used up within the specified time, not overnight, or discarded.
8. The level of antibody is positively correlated with the dose of vaccination, but it must be injected according to the prescribed immunization dose during immunization. Do not artificially increase the dose. Super-dose vaccination will lead to immune paralysis and immune cells will not be produced. Immune response; when the antibody level is high, the vaccination will cause a neutralization reaction, which will lead to a decrease in immunity. Use a separate vaccine whenever possible, and use less combined vaccines and multiple vaccines.
