On November 22, 2012, the China International Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction New Technology and New Products Expo made its grand debut at the Beijing International Convention Center. Organized by the China Energy Conservation Association, the event received significant guidance and support from relevant government departments. High-ranking officials from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the China Energy Conservation Association graced the opening ceremony and participated in the discussions. This year’s expo centered around the theme of “Enhancing Energy Efficiency and Low Carbon Development,†spotlighting cutting-edge energy-saving technologies, products, engineering examples, and achievements across industries such as industrial manufacturing, transportation, construction, green lighting, and daily life. Over 100 renowned enterprises, including China South Locomotive, China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, Laiwu Steel, Midea, Tianzhu Energy Saving, Dunan Environment, Yaming Lighting, and Shanghai Sansi Electronics, showcased their innovations.
More than 1,000 engineers, professionals, and representatives from key energy-consuming units, energy-saving service providers, research institutions, universities, and other organizations visited the expo. During the event, the China Energy Conservation Association also organized its 2012 annual meeting and the China Energy Conservation and Low Carbon Development Forum. Prominent figures from the National People's Congress, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the AQSIQ, and the National Energy Administration were present. These leaders sought to understand how best to promote energy-saving technologies and products while emphasizing their positive environmental impacts.
