The principle of using straight tube fluorescent lamps

1. In all situations, it is recommended to use small-diameter tubes such as T8 or T5 (with a diameter of 26mm or less) instead of the larger T12 tubes. This choice significantly improves energy efficiency and offers better environmental benefits.

2. Whenever possible, opt for three-primary-color fluorescent lamps rather than halogen powder lamps. These three-primary-color tubes provide superior light efficiency, better color rendering, and a longer lifespan. Although they are more expensive—approximately double the cost of standard lamps—their high luminous efficiency leads to substantial energy savings over time. Additionally, fewer lamps are needed, which reduces both lamp and ballast costs, ultimately lowering the total initial investment in the lighting system.

3. For functional lighting (excluding decorative purposes), it's best to use high-power lamps. Choose tubes that are at least 4 feet (about 1200mm) long, such as T8 36W or T5 28W models. These have higher light output and are more efficient, making them ideal for general illumination needs.

4. In most cases, medium color temperature lamps are the best choice. The color temperature of a light source affects how people perceive brightness and comfort. For areas with high illumination levels (>750lx), cold color temperature (high CCT) is preferable. For moderate lighting (around 200–1000lx), medium color temperature works best, while warm color temperature (low CCT) is more suitable for low-light environments (<200lx). Warm light feels more comfortable in dim settings, while cool light appears more vibrant in bright spaces. Most indoor areas fall within the 200–750lx range, so using medium color temperature lamps not only enhances visual comfort but also contributes to energy savings. Moreover, fluorescent lamps with lower and medium color temperatures tend to perform better in terms of light quality and efficiency compared to high-color-temperature options.

Wire rope quality judgment:
1. Specific gravity. The diameter of the wire rope is the same, the heavier the specific gravity, the better the quality of the wire rope.
2. Steel wire rope core. The stronger the core of the wire rope, the heavier the specific gravity, the better the support for the outer strand of the wire rope, and the better the quality of the wire rope.
3. Materials. The material is the steel grade and strength. The higher the steel grade, the better the quality of the wire rope with higher strength.
4. After the rope is cut, the slightly loose quality is good, and the quality of the wire rope with a relatively long lay length is better than that with a short lay length.

5. The anti-corrosion ability of 316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope is stronger than that of 306 stainless steel wire rope, and the anti-corrosion ability of 306 is stronger than that of hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope. The quality of hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope is better than that of electro-galvanized steel wire rope; the quality of nylon plastic-Coated Steel Wire Rope is stronger than that of PE plastic-coated steel wire rope.
