Use solar panels to distill water into pure water

Now a company called Desolenator has invented a Desolenator unit for distilled water using the principle of working with solar power, which is suitable for any water resource, including seawater. Desolenator uses solar panels to provide electricity to boil water, desalinate and clean it so that seawater can be drunk directly.

The unit is portable and has a 20-year life expectancy. The developer of the device says it offers the lowest cost desalination process per liter. The reason why the device is so low is that it has no consumables. No filters need to be replaced, no need to get power from the outlet to operate.

William Janssen, president of Desolenator, said: "97% of the water on the planet is seawater. We plan to use this water to solve the global water crisis. This process is called desalination. Today, only 0.7% of the world's water is Desalination is produced, but the existing desalination technology is costly and inefficient, and its energy consumption accounts for 0.5% of the world's total energy consumption."

Currently, Desolenator has raised funds on Indiegogo. The crowdfunding price starts at US$450 (about RMB 2,800). If all goes well, it is expected to deliver the first batch of products in October this year.
