As the name suggests, static resolution refers to the clarity of the television when displaying static images, and dynamic resolution refers to the clarity of the television when displaying dynamic images. In March 2006, China promulgated a digital television high-definition standard. Its definition of high-definition is more reflected in the resolution of still images, that is, it mainly defines whether the television has the ability to display high-definition television signals. However, there is no substantive requirement for what kind of definition the television needs to achieve under the motion picture when actually receiving HD signals.

At present, there are some irregularities in the understanding and dissemination of high-definition color TV industry. At the same time, many companies focus their product selling points on the improvement of dynamic picture clarity, but the reference standards are different. “In the past, the sharpness of the dynamic picture could only be judged by subjective judgment, or relying on brand self-promotion, and there was no basis for objective evaluation. In response to the urgent needs of consumers and the status of the flat-panel TV market, the China Electronics Video Industry Association adopted the plasma specialty. The committee's proposal decided to formulate a unified industry standard and scientifically measure and standardize the dynamic clarity of television, providing an objective and clear reference for the dynamic clarity of color TV sets. For the specific indicators of dynamic resolution, Hao Yabin said: "The current flat-panel TVs have different display technologies and different display specifications, and their performance in dynamic resolution is not the same. The technology group is currently evaluating various measurement results. There will be final results, and to be sure, this specification will summarize a set of scientific measurement methods, intuitively distinguish the clear status of flat-panel television images at various speeds, and identify them with the naked eye.
