On November 26, the Dongying Fire Brigade collaborated with industry and commerce, quality inspection, and other relevant departments to form a joint inspection team. Their mission was to thoroughly examine fire-fighting equipment retail stores across the city to prevent counterfeit and substandard products from entering the market. This initiative aims to safeguard consumer rights and ensure compliance with safety standards.
During their inspection, the team visited various retail outlets to verify if the fire-fighting equipment being sold held proper market access certificates. They also checked the legality of the operators’ business qualifications, the legitimacy of the procurement channels, and the overall product quality. Additionally, they examined whether the stores provided valid product inspection reports from authorized agencies and adhered to the necessary sales documentation requirements.
In one instance, on November 22, the inspectors discovered a labor insurance shop selling fire-fighting equipment without proper authorization. As a result, law enforcement officers immediately confiscated all related equipment as a precautionary measure. Another case involved a newly established labor insurance product store that had yet to complete its registration process. Due to concerns over the authenticity and quality of the fire-fighting equipment it was offering, the joint inspection team followed protocol and collected the equipment for further evaluation.
Throughout the inspections, most businesses were found to be compliant with regulations, ensuring the quality of their fire-fighting equipment met the required standards. However, instances like those mentioned above highlight the importance of these joint efforts to maintain public safety and prevent fraudulent activities within the industry.
The inspection process is ongoing, and the authorities remain vigilant in their commitment to protecting consumer rights and ensuring that only safe, certified fire-fighting equipment is available in the market.
