On November 22, inspectors uncovered that a labor safety supply shop had been selling firefighting gear without proper authorization. Law enforcement swiftly seized all firefighting equipment on-site as a deterrent.
During this operation, various departments scrutinized multiple aspects of the firefighting equipment sold in retail stores. These included verifying whether the equipment had the necessary market access permits, checking if operators held valid business licenses, ensuring the equipment was sourced through legitimate channels, confirming product quality compliance, and examining whether statutory inspection reports were available. Additionally, the teams verified if merchants adhered to the invoice-issuing regulations and provided customers with receipts, as well as maintaining accurate sales records.
Most businesses inspected were found to be compliant with these requirements, having properly implemented systems for verifying credentials and inspecting stock. The quality of purchased firefighting gear met standards, and routine oversight appeared effective. However, one newly established labor safety supply store lacked proper registration and its firefighting equipment was deemed questionable.
