High-end locks market forms a three-legged pattern of China-Korea-German lock industry

Today, electronic card locks and fingerprint locks have become the most widely used locks in high-end venues. According to statistics, China's high-end locks market is growing at a rate of more than 20% per year, and the future space is gratifying.

According to archaeological findings, locks appeared in China's Yangshao culture more than 3,000 years ago. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, the level of China's three-spring locks reached a high level of craftsmanship and was used for more than 1,000 years.

However, with the development of the industrial level, the British D. Porter invented the cam rotor lock in the early 18th century. In 1848, American L. Yell invented the use of a cylindrical pin lock, which has become the most commonly used lock in the world. In the 1970s, with the application of microelectronic technology, magnetic locks, voice locks, ultrasonic locks, infrared locks, electromagnetic wave locks, electronic card locks, fingerprint locks, eyeball iris locks, and remote locks appeared.

Scientists have found through research that the fingerprint and the iris of the eye have the highest probability of being unique. After decades of exploration, fingerprint locks have begun to enter the room, widely used in military, government, finance, insurance, villas and other high-end, confidential applications. Such locks are collectively referred to as smart locks, or bio-smart locks; they rely on biometrics and use software programming to combine high-precision algorithms.

At present, high security level fingerprint locks and electronic locks on the market are mainly divided into three origins: Korea, Germany, and China.

South Korea's electronic locks represented by Hyundai and Samsung (mainly password locks entered China earlier, and also have a high market share in high-end real estate, which has a good reputation among users. It continues the style of Korean manufacturing. South Korea's electronic locks are more fancy and have a strong sense of design, which is its advantage.

All Korean locks are processed by Korean factories and sold by Chinese agents through the introduction of locks or parts. This will definitely cause problems that are difficult to guarantee after-sales service. Secondly, since China's fire prevention and anti-theft standards are much higher than those in South Korea, whether the locks produced in South Korea can reach the Chinese standard remains to be verified. This is the same as the previous foreign milk powder incident, foreign brands can claim that the international and Chinese standards are different, but the essence is: China's standards are higher than international standards.

Like the general perception of German products, German manufacturers range from construction to electrical appliances, sanitary ware, locks, etc., and they are all demanders of quality. Take Siemens's electrical appliances as an example, and its various models have a very high reputation in China. Dessert locks entered China late, and Dessmann Deschman was the first German lock brand to enter China, and its time was back in 2009.

It is understood that the consumption of fingerprint authentication in Germany is also proving that the fingerprint identification technology in Germany is quite mature. In the lock market, the German lock is not only focused on the development and application of high-end smart locks. Technically, this kind of product is a comprehensive product integrating electronics, machinery, software, optics and biometrics. In terms of product design concept, the Germans have always paid great attention to the essential needs. For example, the German mobile phone always has a long square head and no big screen, but it is very useful in answering the telephone.

Take Dessmann Deschman as an example. In order to ensure the quality of hardware and assembly, all the key components are manufactured in China to ensure the quality of the products. In today's highly developed modern logistics, this approach is undoubtedly old-fashioned, but it is also a cute thing for the Germans.

It is also known that Dessmann, as the first high-tech project introduced in Hangzhou, settled in Hangzhou Binjiang Development Zone, and its products were also recommended and displayed by the Hangzhou Municipal Government and local leading company Alibaba to the Shanghai World Expo.
