Qingdao Energy uses biomass-cellulose as raw material, adopts melt-blown-wet process coupling technology with independent intellectual property rights, researches and develops related production and processing equipment, and develops high-security low-cost biomass composite separators. The separator has good electrolyte wettability, heat resistance, and flame retardancy, and its battery rate and cycle performance are far superior to commercial polyolefin separators.

Domestic experts highly praised the biomass composite diaphragm developed by the team and considered it as a new material system and process method. The successful development of this type of product will fill domestic gaps and provide important technical support for the development of the "blue economy" in Shandong Province and the "blue silicon valley" in Qingdao.
