Since the dryer itself provides low dew point and atmospheric air to regenerate the adsorbent, the whole regeneration process has no external heat involved, and the desorption heat required for desorption is completely accumulated in the bed, so no The heat regeneration dryer is also called the "self-heating regeneration" dryer.

The low-pressure dry air after throttling not only provides a physical basis for pressure swing adsorption, but also drives the re-entry of gas to the gas phase.

The regenerative energy consumption of a heatless regenerative dryer is the gas consumption of compressed air.

Principle of regeneration

The adsorption dryer regeneration process should follow two principles:

1, complete regeneration principle: adsorption of the adsorbed moisture within the half period T should be 'fully desorbed and outer exclusion column (inner T' <T) T at a predetermined time, and before the next adsorption cycle start to reach the set temperature of the adsorbent Initial temperature

2, the principle of minimum gas consumption: at a certain regeneration pressure and discharge temperature, when the water content of the regenerated tail gas reaches saturation, the regeneration gas consumption is the least.

The principle of complete regeneration guarantees the long-term stability of the finished product dew point. In order to completely regenerate the adsorbent, not only the regeneration gas dew point needs to be as low as possible, but also a certain amount of regeneration gas is inevitably consumed; according to the principle of minimum gas consumption, the regeneration gas pressure is better than the atmospheric pressure, in addition to overcoming the bed resistance; At the same temperature, the closer to atmospheric pressure, the more saturated the water is.

These two principles are applicable to both heatless regenerative dryers and hot (microthermal) regenerative dryers.
