The main features of the potassium sulphate production process developed in this project are: using ammonium sulfate and potassium chloride to obtain potassium sulphate after two-stage conversion, and once-cooling to obtain potassium ammonium chloride as a by-product, the mother liquor is closed loop, and no process waste is discharged. The process can achieve stable production, high yield and stable product quality. And has the advantages of less investment, quick results and so on. The technology has been industrially produced.


Second, the technical indicators of the product potassium sulfate quality up to the national professional standard ZBG21006-89 first grade (K2O ≥ 45%, Cl - ≤ 2.5%), by-product potassium chloride ammonium (N + K2O) content of more than 34%; per ton of sulfuric acid Potassium consumes 1.05 tons of potassium chloride, 0.95 tons of ammonium sulfate, and 0.95 tons of potassium chloride by-product.


III. Market Demand and Prospects At present, the annual demand for potassium sulfate in China's agriculture is above 1 million tons, the domestic production capacity is about 300,000 tons/year, and the actual output is 150,000 tons/year. With an annual import volume of 600,000 tons, the market is in short supply. It can be expected that with the development of China's economic crop planting industry, its demand will increase. In addition, in order to encourage the production of domestic potassium sulphate, the State Administration of Taxation began to implement the preferential policy of exempting potassium sulphate from value-added tax in 1995, which will certainly promote the rapid progress of localization of potassium sulphate.


IV. Scale and investment Take the industrial plant with an annual output of 20,000 tons of agricultural potassium sulphate as an example. The total investment of equipment is 8 million yuan: 4 million yuan for civil construction, 1 million yuan for public works, and 3 million yuan for working capital.


V. Benefit Analysis Annual production of 20,000 tons of agricultural potassium sulphate and by-product of 19,000 tons of potassium chloride ammonium. The annual sales amount is 56.8 million yuan, and the annual profit and tax is 6 million yuan. If the compound is a special fertilizer, the benefit can be increased to 10 million yuan.
